Ellendale Substation is a 345/230kV substation located in Ellendale, North Dakota, US. The construction works on Ellendale Substation began in 2018. The project was commissioned in 2019.
Description
The Ellendale Substation project is a new substation being operated by Montana-Dakota Utilities.
The designed voltage level of the project is 345/230kV, while the operating voltage level is 345/230kV. The step-in voltage of the substation is 345kV and the step-out voltage is 230kV. The substation capacity is 336MVA.
Ellendale Substation has received approval from North Dakota Public Service Commission to undertake the works on the project. Approximately $22m was financed by the authorities for the construction works of the project.
