EREC Paradise Solar PV Park is a 51.5MW solar PV power project. It is located in Westmoreland, Jamaica. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in June 2019.

Description

The project was developed by Eight Rivers Energy and Ferrostaal. The project is currently owned by Neoen International with a stake of 50.1%, MPC Caribbean Clean Energy with a stake of 34.4% and Rekamniar Capital.

EREC Paradise Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 80 hectares.

The project generates 82,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 30,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $64m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Jamaica Public Service under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.085kWh for a period of 20 years, starting from 2019. The contracted capacity is 37MW.

Eiffage Energia S L U and Schneider Electric France were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

Eiffage Energia S L U is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 20 years.
