Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in October 2019 with 62 contracts and a 53.4% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 21 contracts and an 18.1% share and Generation Equipment with 20 contracts and a 17.2% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 19 contracts and a 90.5% share
- Electricity Supply: two contracts and a 9.5% share.
Wind is top technology for Europe electricity procurement contracts in October 2019
Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 11 contracts with a 52.4% share, followed by solar with nine contracts and a 42.9% share and biopower with one contract and a 4.8% share.
