Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q1 2021 with 206 contracts and a 44.1% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 106 contracts and a 22.7% share and Electricity Procurement with 61 contracts and a 13.1% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Power Purchase Agreement: 54 contracts and an 88.5% share
  2. Project Implementation: five contracts and an 8.2% share
  3. Electricity Supply: two contracts and a 3.3% share.

Solar is top technology for Europe electricity procurement contracts in Q1 2021

Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 38 contracts with a 50% share, followed by wind with 31 contracts and a 40.8% share and hydro with six contracts and a 7.9% share.
