Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q2 2020 with 294 contracts and a 48.7% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 121 contracts and a 20% share and T&D Equipment with 102 contracts and a 16.9% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Power Purchase Agreement: 22 contracts and an 84.6% share
  2. Electricity Supply: three contracts and an 11.5% share
  3. Project Implementation: one contract and a 3.8% share.

Wind is top technology for Europe electricity procurement contracts in Q2 2020

Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 16 contracts with a 53.3% share, followed by solar with 11 contracts and a 36.7% share and hydro with two contracts and a 6.7% share.
