Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q4 2020 with 125 contracts and a 29.1% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 85 contracts and a 19.8% share and Power Plant with 77 contracts and a 17.9% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 45 contracts and a 91.8% share
- Electricity Supply: four contracts and an 8.2% share.
Wind is top technology for Europe electricity procurement contracts in Q4 2020
Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 28 contracts with a 50% share, followed by solar with 20 contracts and a 35.7% share and hydro with seven contracts and a 12.5% share.
