Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q2 2021 with 182 contracts and a 40.8% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 94 contracts and a 21.1% share and Electricity Procurement with 81 contracts and an 18.2% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 74 contracts and a 78.7% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 14 contracts and a 14.9% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: three contracts and a 3.2% share
- Project Implementation: three contracts and a 3.2% share.
Wind is top technology for Europe generation equipment contracts in Q2 2021
Looking at generation equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 56 contracts with a 62.2% share, followed by solar with 13 contracts and a 14.4% share and thermal with seven contracts and a 7.8% share.
