Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q3 2020 with 231 contracts and a 40% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 124 contracts and a 21.5% share and T&D Equipment with 101 contracts and a 17.5% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 94 contracts and a 75.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 21 contracts and a 16.9% share
- Project Implementation: five contracts and a 4% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: four contracts and a 3.2% share.
Wind is top technology for Europe generation equipment contracts in Q3 2020
Looking at generation equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 64 contracts with a 51.2% share, followed by thermal with 26 contracts and a 20.8% share and solar with 16 contracts and a 12.8% share.
