Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q4 2019 with 132 contracts and a 34.3% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 97 contracts and a 25.2% share and T&D Equipment with 53 contracts and a 13.8% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 79 contracts and an 81.4% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 11 contracts and an 11.3% share
  3. Project Implementation: five contracts and a 5.2% share
  4. Consulting & Similar Services: two contracts and a 2.1% share.

Wind is top technology for Europe generation equipment contracts in Q4 2019

Looking at generation equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 43 contracts with a 44.8% share, followed by solar with 20 contracts and a 20.8% share and thermal with 16 contracts and a 16.7% share.
