Europe power industry tenders in November 2019: Poland leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in November 2019 with 35 tenders and a share of 41.2%, down 3.2% over the previous month and up 17% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Russian Federation with eight tenders and a share of 9.4% and Germany with seven tenders and a share of 8.2% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Poland held the top spot with 30 tenders, followed by Russian Federation with five and Germany with five tenders.

Thermal is top technology area for tenders in November 2019
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with ten tenders and a 27.8% share, followed by solar with nine tenders and a 25% share and nuclear with six tenders and a 16.7% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Project was the most popular segment in November 2019, with 30 tenders, followed by Generation Equipment (23) and T&D Equipment (22).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 32 tenders and a 37.6% share
- Supply & Erection: 31 tenders and a 36.5% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 17 tenders and a 20% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: three tenders and a 3.5% share
- Electricity Supply: two tenders and a 2.4% share.

The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Turkey (Turkey): 1,000MW from one tender
- Empresa de Desenvolvimento e Infra-estruturas do Alqueva (Portugal): 50MW from one tender
- Javno Podjetje Energetika Ljubljana (Slovenia): 3.04MW capacity from one tender.
