Europe power industry tenders in November 2020: Poland leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in November 2020 with 21 tenders and a share of 32.8%, up 7.1% over the previous month and down 34% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by the UK with eight tenders and a share of 12.5% and Hungary with four tenders and a share of 6.3% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Poland held the top spot with 32 tenders, followed by Germany with nine and France with four tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in November 2020
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 11 tenders and a 37.9% share, followed by thermal with ten tenders and a 34.5% share and nuclear with four tenders and a 13.8% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in November 2020, with 18 tenders, followed by T&D Project (15) and Power Plant (12).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 27 tenders and a 42.2% share
- Project Implementation: 22 tenders and a 34.4% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: nine tenders and a 14.1% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: two tenders and a 3.1% share
- Others: two tenders and a 3.1% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: one tender and a 1.6% share
- Electricity Supply: one tender and a 1.6% share.
Power tenders in November 2020: Top issuers by capacity
The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (Spain): 3,100MW from one tender
- UK Power Networks Holdings (United Kingdom): 250MW from one tender
- Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy (Albania): 100MW capacity from one tender.
