Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in February 2020 with 55 contracts and a 51.4% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 17 contracts and a 15.9% share and Generation Equipment with 16 contracts and a 15% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 53 contracts and a 96.4% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 1.8% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 1.8% share.

Solar is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in February 2020

Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 46 contracts with an 83.6% share, followed by wind with four contracts and a 7.3% share and nuclear with three contracts and a 5.5% share.
