Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in May 2021 with 35 contracts and a 31.8% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 24 contracts and a 21.8% share and Generation Equipment with 20 contracts and an 18.2% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 24 contracts and a 68.6% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: six contracts and a 17.1% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four contracts and an 11.4% share
  4. Power Purchase Agreement: one contract and a 2.9% share.

Solar is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in May 2021

Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 18 contracts with a 50% share, followed by wind with 14 contracts and a 38.9% share and biopower with three contracts and an 8.3% share.
