Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in October 2019 with 62 contracts and a 53.4% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 21 contracts and an 18.1% share and Generation Equipment with 20 contracts and a 17.2% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 58 contracts and a 93.5% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: two contracts and a 3.2% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: one contract and a 1.6% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 1.6% share.
Solar is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in October 2019
Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 34 contracts with a 54.8% share, followed by wind with 26 contracts and a 41.9% share and nuclear with one contract and a 1.6% share.
