Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in October 2020 with 38 contracts and a 28.4% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 36 contracts and a 26.9% share and Smart Grid with 25 contracts and an 18.7% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Consulting & Similar Services: 18 contracts and a 47.4% share
  2. Project Implementation: 16 contracts and a 42.1% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four contracts and a 10.5% share.

Wind is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in October 2020

Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 22 contracts with a 57.9% share, followed by nuclear with nine contracts and a 23.7% share and solar with five contracts and a 13.2% share.
