Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q2 2021 with 182 contracts and a 40.8% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 94 contracts and a 21.1% share and Electricity Procurement with 81 contracts and an 18.2% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 134 contracts and a 73.6% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 36 contracts and a 19.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: ten contracts and a 5.5% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: two contracts and a 1.1% share.
Solar is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in Q2 2021
Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 129 contracts with a 69.7% share, followed by wind with 41 contracts and a 22.2% share and nuclear with five contracts and a 2.7% share.
