Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q4 2020 with 125 contracts and a 29.1% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 85 contracts and a 19.8% share and Power Plant with 77 contracts and a 17.9% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 40 contracts and a 51.9% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 26 contracts and a 33.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 11 contracts and a 14.3% share.
Wind is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in Q4 2020
Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 31 contracts with a 40.3% share, followed by solar with 18 contracts and a 23.4% share and nuclear with 15 contracts and a 19.5% share.
