Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in September 2020 with 52 contracts and a 38.2% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 27 contracts and a 19.9% share and Power Plant with 24 contracts and a 17.6% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 14 contracts and a 58.3% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: seven contracts and a 29.2% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two contracts and an 8.3% share
  4. Power Purchase Agreement: one contract and a 4.2% share.

Solar is top technology for Europe power plant contracts in September 2020

Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 13 contracts with a 52% share, followed by wind with eight contracts and a 32% share and thermal with two contracts and an 8% share.
