T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q1 2020 with 62 tenders and a 32.5% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 37 tenders and a 19.4% share and Power Plant with 37 tenders and a 19.4% share during the quarter.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 28 tenders and a 75.7% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: five tenders and a 13.5% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: four tenders and a 10.8% share.
Solar is top technology for Europe power plant tenders in Q1 2020
Looking at power plant tenders by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 13 tenders with a 34.2% share, followed by hydro with nine tenders and a 23.7% share and thermal with six tenders and a 15.8% share.

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Government of the Republic of North Macedonia: 333MW from one tender
