Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q3 2021 with 135 tenders and a 34.8% share, followed by T&D Project with 101 tenders and a 26% share and T&D Equipment with 64 tenders and a 16.5% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 123 tenders and a 91.1% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: six tenders and a 4.4% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: five tenders and a 3.7% share
  4. Others: one tender and a 0.7% share.

Solar is top technology for Europe power plant tenders in Q3 2021

Looking at power plant tenders by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for 87 tenders with a 64.9% share, followed by wind with 19 tenders and a 14.2% share and hydro with ten tenders and a 7.5% share.

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:

  1. Ministere de l’Environnement, de l’Energie et de la Mer (France): 27,050MW from 58 tenders
  2. Russian Association of Wind Power Industry (Russia): 6,700MW from one tender
  3. Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Turkey (Turkey): 1,000MW capacity from one tender.
