Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q1 2020 with 131 contracts and a 36.6% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 84 contracts and a 23.5% share and Electricity Procurement with 43 contracts and a 12% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 31 contracts and a 91.2% share
  2. Project Implementation: three contracts and an 8.8% share.

Wind is top technology for Europe smart grid contracts in Q1 2020

Looking at smart grid contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 12 contracts with a 70.6% share, followed by solar with two contracts and an 11.8% share and thermal with one contract and a 5.9% share.
