The proportion of solar technology contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement with nine contracts and a 33.3% share
- Project Implementation: nine contracts and a 33.3% share
- Supply & Erection: five contracts and an 18.5% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: two contracts and a 7.4% share
- Electricity Supply: one contract and a 3.7% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 3.7% share.
Spain tops Europe solar power contracts activity
Spain was the top country in the Europe region for solar technology contracts recorded in July 2021 with seven contracts and a 25.9% share, followed by Portugal with five contracts and an 18.5% share and Russia with three contracts and an 11.1% share.

The top issuers of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
- Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund: 200MW from one contract
- BP (United Kingdom) and Lightsource BP Renewable Energy Investments (United Kingdom): 100MW from one contract
- Smartenergy Invest (Switzerland) and Edisun Power Europe (Switzerland): 72.4MW capacity from two contracts.

- Abu Dhabi Future Energy (United Arab Emirates): 200MW from one contract

- Efacec Power Solutions SGPS (Portugal): 72.4MW capacity from two contracts.
