The proportion of solar technology contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation with 60 contracts and an 82.2% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: eight contracts and an 11% share
- Supply & Erection: three contracts and a 4.1% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 1.4% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 1.4% share.
France tops Europe solar power contracts activity
France was the top country in the Europe region for solar technology contracts recorded in January 2021 with 58 contracts and a 79.5% share, followed by Spain with three contracts and a 4.1% share and Germany with two contracts and a 2.7% share.

The top issuers of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:
