The proportion of solar technology contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation with 118 contracts and a 71.1% share
  2. Power Purchase Agreement: 24 contracts and a 14.5% share
  3. Supply & Erection: 11 contracts and a 6.6% share
  4. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: seven contracts and a 4.2% share
  5. Consulting & Similar Services: four contracts and a 2.4% share
  6. Electricity Supply: two contracts and a 1.2% share.

Greece tops Europe solar power contracts activity

Greece was the top country in the Europe region for solar technology contracts recorded in Q2 2021 with 50 contracts and a 30.1% share, followed by France with 46 contracts and a 27.7% share and Spain with 22 contracts and a 13.3% share.

The top issuers of contracts for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:

  1. The Regulatory Authority for Energy (Greece): 349.89MW from 49 contracts
  2. The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azerbaijan) and AzerEnerji (Azerbaijan): 230MW from one contract
  3. EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg (Germany): 150MW capacity from one contract.
