Europe Solar technology tenders activity drops 71% in Q1 2022

Europe solar technology tenders in Q1 2022 saw 23 tenders announced, marking a drop of 71% over the last four-quarter average of 79, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

The proportion of solar technology tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation with seven tenders and a 30.4% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: six tenders and a 26.1% share
  3. Electricity Supply: six tenders and a 26.1% share
  4. Supply & Erection: four tenders and a 17.4% share.

Germany tops Europe solar power tenders activity

Germany was the top country in the Europe region for solar technology tenders recorded in Q1 2022 with eight tenders and a 34.8% share, followed by Poland with eight tenders and a 34.8% share and Belgium with two tenders and an 8.7% share.

Europe solar technology tenders in Q1 2022: Top companies by capacity

The top issuers of tenders for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:

  1. Bundesnetzagentur (Germany): 5,901MW from six tenders
  2. Germany Trade And Invest (Germany): 10MW from two tenders
  3. WLC Park: 0.28MW capacity from one tender.
