Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q3 2020 with 231 contracts and a 40% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 124 contracts and a 21.5% share and T&D Equipment with 101 contracts and a 17.5% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 88 contracts and an 87.1% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: seven contracts and a 6.9% share
  3. Project Implementation: five contracts and a 5% share
  4. Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 1% share.

Wind is top technology for Europe T&D equipment contracts in Q3 2020

Looking at T&D equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for 12 contracts with a 70.6% share, followed by thermal with three contracts and a 17.6% share and hydro with one contract and a 5.9% share.
