Europe T&D equipment tenders activity down 38% in Q4 2021

There were 48 T&D equipment tenders announced in the Europe region in Q4 2021, marking a drop of 38% over the last four-quarter average of 77, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q4 2021 with 85 tenders and a 28.7% share, followed by Power Plant with 67 tenders and a 22.6% share and T&D Equipment with 48 tenders and a 16.2% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

1. Supply & Erection: 44 tenders and a 91.7% share
2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two tenders and a 4.2% share
3. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 2.1% share
4. Project Implementation: one tender and a 2.1% share.

Hydro is top technology for Europe T&D equipment tenders in Q4 2021

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Europe region, hydro accounted for one tender with a 50% share, followed by thermal with one tender and a 50% share.
