Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q1 2020 with 131 contracts and a 36.6% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 84 contracts and a 23.5% share and Electricity Procurement with 43 contracts and a 12% share during the quarter.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 18 contracts and a 75% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four contracts and a 16.7% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: two contracts and an 8.3% share.
Wind is top technology for Europe T&D project contracts in Q1 2020
Looking at T&D project contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for nine contracts with a 75% share, followed by biopower with one contract and an 8.3% share and hydro with one contract and an 8.3% share.
