Europe Thermal technology tenders activity remain flat in Q2 2019

Europe thermal technology tenders in Q2 2019 saw 33 tenders announced, marking a flat growth over the last four-quarter average of 33, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

Oil was the top category in thermal technology in terms of number of tenders for the quarter in Europe, accounting for 17 tenders and a 58.6% share, followed by Coal with nine tenders and a 31% share. Gas stood in third place with three tenders and a 10.3% share.

The proportion of thermal technology tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

1. Supply & Erection with 18 tenders and a 54.5% share
2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 11 tenders and a 33.3% share
3. Project Implementation: three tenders and a 9.1% share
4. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 3% share.

Poland tops Europe thermal power tenders activity

Poland was the top country in the Europe region for thermal technology tenders recorded in Q2 2019 with 13 tenders and a 39.4% share, followed by Cyprus with three tenders and a 9.1% share and France with three tenders and a 9.1% share.

The top issuer of tenders for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Europe was:Tarczynski Spolka Akcyjna with 8MW from one tender.
