Funil Grande is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project are 39m and 35.5m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 3 in number. The penstock length is 48m. The penstock diameter is 7m.
