The project generates 600GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 140,000 households, offsetting 220,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $335.41m.
The Tubular Steel towers installed at the Galway Wind Park (Galway Wind Park Phase I), site are 89.5m high.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in June 2017.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to SSE Airtricity under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 174MW.
Contractors Involved
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 58 units of SWT-3.0-101 turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the Galway Wind Park (Galway Wind Park Phase I) for a period of 5 years.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the Galway Wind Park (Galway Wind Park Phase II) for a period of 15 years.
