Looking at global power contracts activity divided by the type of technology, solar held the top position in terms of number of contracts during October 2021 with a 54.7% share.
The proportion of contracts by category in the Solar technology tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 65 contracts and a 55.6% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: 35 contracts and a 29.9% share
- Supply & Erection: 11 contracts and a 9.4% share
- Electricity Supply: four contracts and a 3.4% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 0.9% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 0.9% share.

By GlobalDataComparing contracts activity in solar technology in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 40 contracts and a share of 34.2% during October 2021, followed by North America with 30 contracts and a 25.6% share and Europe with 25 contracts and a 21.4% share.
In fourth place was Middle East and Africa with 19 contracts and a 16.2% share and in fifth place was South and Central America with three contracts and a 2.6% share.

The top issuers of contracts in Solar technology for the month in terms of power capacity involved were:
- Energy Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region: 1,550MW from one contract
