Power industry tenders in November 2022: Europe leads global activity

On comparing tenders activity in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with ten tenders and a share of 50% during November 2022, followed by Middle East and Africa with ten tenders and a 50% share.

On the basis of the last 12-month average, Asia-Pacific held a lead over others with 73 tenders, followed by North America with 60.

Hydro tops by technology in November 2022

Looking at tenders by the type of technology, hydro accounted for the largest proportion with 12 tenders and a 60% share, followed by nuclear with seven tenders and a 35% share and solar with one tender and a 5% share.

Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment as tracked by GlobalData, Generation Equipment was the most popular segment during November 2022, with 13 tenders, followed by Power Plant (5) and Others (2).

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 12 tenders and a 60% share
  2. Supply & Erection: five tenders and a 25% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 5% share
  4. Others: one tender and a 5% share
  5. Project Implementation: one tender and a 5% share.

Power tenders in November 2022: Top companies by capacity

The top issuer of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved was: Autoridade Reguladora de Energia with 60MW from one tender.
