The project is being developed and currently owned by NHPC.
Goriganga-IIIA is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project will be 261m and 243m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 3 in number. The penstock diameter will be 2.3m. The project cost is expected to be around $213.546m.
The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 50MW nameplate capacity.
