Description

The project was developed by Sturdee Energy. The project is currently owned by African Infrastructure Investment Managers with a stake of 50.01% and SunEdison.

Greefspan PV Power Plant No. 2 Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project generates 150,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 20,000 households, offsetting 130,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $101.866m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

Grupo Gransolar, SunEdison Green Power Southern Africa, TSK Solar and Umbono Energy were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

SunEdison O&M Entity is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
