Green River (Blue Castle) 1, US

Green River (Blue Castle) 1 is a 1,250MW nuclear reactor planned in Utah, the US. The nuclear reactor is currently in announced stage. Post completion of the construction, the plant proponent is expected to achieve the first power from the reactor in 2030 and is planned for commissioning in the same year.

Green River (Blue Castle) 1 is a Generation III+ nuclear reactor being developed by Westinghouse Electric, the main contractor for the project.

The 1,250MW reactor is currently owned and will be operated by Blue Castle Holdings.

Green River (Blue Castle) 1 is a type of PWR reactor. It will feature 157 fuel assemblies in the core of reactor, the place where fission occurs and energy is released. The project cost is expected to be around $6,736.25m.

The reactor consists of 1 steam turbine.

Development Status
