The project is currently owned by Hebei Xinneng Power.
The project generates 200.18GWh electricity thereby offsetting 224,136t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $157.872m.
Guantao County Biomass Power Plant is a combined heat and power (CHP) project. Maize straw which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
The project consists of 2 turbines, each with 24MW nameplate capacity.
