Description

The project was developed by Canadian Solar, Gunnedah Solar Farm and Photon Energy Australia. The project is currently owned by Canadian Solar.

Gunnedah Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 304 hectares.

The project generates 293.04GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 49,000 households, offsetting 236,302t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $141m.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 2021.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Amazon Web Services under a power purchase agreement from 2021. The contracted capacity is 60MW.

Contractors Involved

PCL Constructors was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 460,000 modules at the site.
