Description
The project was developed by Canadian Solar, Gunnedah Solar Farm and Photon Energy Australia. Berkshire Hathaway and Polpo Investments are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 76% and 24% respectively.
Gunnedah Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 304 hectares.
The project generates 293.04GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 48,000 households, offsetting 290,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project got commissioned in May 2022.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Amazon Web Services under a power purchase agreement from 2022. The contracted capacity is 60MW.

PCL Constructors was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 353,528 modules at the site.
Ingeteam Corporacion supplied 40 of its CON20 inverters to the project site.
Ingeteam Corporacion supplied 26 of its CON40 inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.
