The GuoDian LongYuan Wind Farm VFB is a 5,000kW energy storage project located in Shenyang, Liaoning, China.

The electro-chemical battery energy storage project uses flow as its storage technology. The project was announced in 2013 and was commissioned in 2013.


The key applications of the project are electric supply reserve capacity – spinning, onsite renewable generation shifting, renewables capacity firming and voltage support.

Woniushi wind power farm 5MW/10MWh energy storage system (ESS) build by Dalian Rongke Power Co. Ltd. (referred to as Rongke Power) connected successfully to the grid of Liaoning Liaoning Power Grid.
