The project was developed by Gama Power Systems Engineering and Contracting. Limak Yatirim and InfraMed Infrastructure are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75% and 25% respectively.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The fuel is procured from BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation.
The project cost is $1,251.756m.
The project got commissioned in January 2018.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of SGT5-8000H gas turbines.
