The project is being developed by ExxonMobil PNG, Innovative Agro Industry, LR Group, PNG Power and Sydlan. ExxonMobil PNG, Innovative Agro Industry, PNG Power and Sydlan are currently owning the project.
Hela is a run-of-river project. The net head of the project will be 283m. The project cost is expected to be around $317.727m.
The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 56MW nameplate capacity.
