Humbarli, India

Humbarli is a 400MW hydro power project. It is planned on Koyna river/basin in Maharashtra, India. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2024 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2027.

The project is being developed by Greenko Energies, Nuclear Power Corporation of India and THDC India. Nuclear Power Corporation of India and THDC India are currently owning the project.

Humbarli is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 7.43 million cubic meter. The net head of the project will be 320m. The project is expected to generate 747 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $578.18m.

The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 200MW nameplate capacity.

The nameplate capacity of electric generator(s) to be installed at the project site is 222.22 MVA.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2027.
