Description

The project is developed and owned by Ichihara Biomass Power. The company has a stake of 100%.

The project generates 350GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 120,000 households. The project cost is $208.378m.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in December 2020.

Mitsui E&S Holdings was selected to render EPC services for the biopower project.

Andritz supplied steam boiler for the project.

Mitsui E&S Holdings is the O&M contractor for the project.
