Description

The project was developed by Construtora Norberto Odebrecht. Alianca Geracao de Energia, Nexa Resources, Companhia Siderurgica Nacional and Anglogold Ashanti Brasil are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 52.65%, 23.93%, 17.92% and 5.5% respectively.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 234.5 million cubic meter.

Voestalpine was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 5 units of bulb turbines, each with 43.6MW nameplate capacity.
