Ishikari Bay is an 112MW offshore wind power project. It is planned in Ishikari Bay, Hokkaido, Japan. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.

Description

The project is being developed by Furukawa Electric, Green Power Ishikari, Kajima, ORIX, Sumitomo Electric Industries and Thai Nippon Steel Engineering & Construction. The project is currently owned by Pattern Development with a stake of 100%.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, to offset 329,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $691.543m.

The wind power project consists of 14 turbines, each with 8MW nameplate capacity.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Hokkaido Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 112MW.
