The project was developed by China Gezhouba Group and Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority. The project is currently owned by Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority.

Jinnah is a run-of-river project. The gross head of the project is 4.88m. The project generated 688 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $128m.

Contractors Involved

Dongfang Electric was selected to render EPC services for the hydro power project.

Dongfang Electric was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 8 units of pit turbines, each with 12MW nameplate capacity.

WAPDA is headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan.
