Kabulasoke Solar PV Park is a 24MW solar PV power project. It is located in Central, Uganda. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in December 2018.

Description

The project is developed by GL Africa Energy and Xsabo Group. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.

Kabulasoke Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 125 acres.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 21,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $24.5m.

The project consists of 68,000 modules.

10 inverters have been installed at the project site.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in December 2018.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Uganda Electricity Transmission under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

GL Africa Energy and Xsabo Group were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
