Description

The project is developed and owned by GL Africa Energy and Xsabo Group. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.

Kabulasoke Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 130 acres.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 21,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 68,000 modules, each with 330W nameplate capacity.

20 inverters have been installed at the project site.

Development status

The project got commissioned in January 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Uganda Electricity Transmission under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

GL Africa Energy and Xsabo Group were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
