Description

IHI, Kyudenko and Tokyo Century are currently owning the project.

The project generates 337,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 77,000 households, offsetting 200,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $206.51m.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 49MW.
